Hi,
A few of us took the train ride to Llandudno on the first week of May to visit the Victorian Festival, which was situated in the town centre and the sea front. Opening from 2nd May to 4th May, the Festival, also known as the Transport Festival, had many attractions from vintage Fairground rides to modern rides. Not just that, the festival provided entertainment throughout the town centre & sea front including Brass Bands, Side Shows etc.
The transport on the Festival field included Kenworth trucks, Vintage Scammell's, very old buses, a very nice mixture of modern trucks, classic & modern bikes, and Army tanks! Also on the Festival field was lots of trade stands, catering vans, and a small fair at the bottom, which included a set of nicely presented Dodgems, a Twist ride, and a Funhouse.
All together it summed up to be a brill day, especially with the warm weather!
Pictures of the Fairground rides can be seen on my Website Gallery at http://www.shanesfunfairpics.fotopic.net/ps57938263.html (Slideshow, starting from first picture)
If you would like pictures of the bikes, and a few of the other transport, please say so, and I'll add them to this topic.

Hi Shane
That would have been a good day out. If you have anymore gallery links, please post them.
Has anybody been through Rhyl by road lately? I haven't got round to going there yet but I will soon.
Ffrith Beach funfair should also still be there. Although the company went bust, the local council are running it for now as a going concern. That old Waltzer from Ocean Beach is there and was painted up last year. They were running it off a portable generator but with no music.

I will add your link to my links page on the next update and will have a Bravenet 'post your own links' page soon. _________________ Regards

Hi Jim,
That's very kind of you. I have also added a link to this website on my Gallery links in return.
I think you'll be shocked to hear that the rides at Ffrith Beach pulled down last month. The Pepsi Cola Loop has gone to Germany and opened at it's first fair yesterday. No information on the Waltzer, Dodgems, and other rides though. _________________ Regards,

Hi,
Have recently seen pictures of Ffrith Beach on another Forum, which was taken on 28th May. The pictures indicate that the Waltzer is still there but isn't built up, and the Helicopter Juvenile ride is also still there, still built up.
Helter Skelter is in pieces, and the Dodgems and the Dragon Coaster are in a sorry state around the back. (Where they was last year)
